Travel Insurance Disclaimer
1. Insurance Is Strongly Recommended
Travel insurance is strongly recommended for all travelers. Travel may involve non-refundable costs, cancellation penalties, medical emergencies, travel delays, baggage loss, evacuation needs, supplier failure, and other unexpected events.
2. Routelle Travel Is Not an Insurance Company
Routelle Travel is not an insurance company, insurance underwriter, claims administrator, or licensed insurance advisor unless expressly stated in writing. Any insurance information provided by Routelle Travel is general and informational only.
3. Client Responsibility to Review Coverage
Clients are responsible for reviewing insurance options, coverage limits, exclusions, deductibles, deadlines, pre-existing condition rules, cancellation coverage, interruption coverage, medical coverage, evacuation coverage, baggage coverage, supplier default coverage, and claim procedures.
4. No Guarantee of Coverage
Routelle Travel does not guarantee that any insurance policy will cover a loss, approve a claim, reimburse a client, or provide a specific benefit. Coverage depends on the insurance contract and the insurer's claim decision.
5. Timing Matters
Some insurance benefits may require purchase within a specific time after the initial trip deposit. Waiting to purchase insurance may limit available coverage.
6. Cancel For Any Reason Coverage
Cancel For Any Reason or similar coverage may not be available for every trip or traveler and may have strict purchase deadlines, reimbursement limits, and eligibility requirements. Clients must review the policy carefully.
7. Medical and Evacuation Coverage
Domestic health insurance may not cover medical care abroad, emergency evacuation, repatriation, or destination-specific medical costs. Travelers should consider whether medical and evacuation coverage is appropriate.
8. Supplier Refund Rules Still Apply
Travel insurance does not change the refund rules of airlines, hotels, cruises, tour operators, transfer providers, or other suppliers. Insurance is a separate contract between the traveler and the insurance provider.
9. Claims
Insurance claims are submitted to the insurance provider, not Routelle Travel. Clients are responsible for keeping receipts, confirmations, medical records, delay notices, cancellation notices, proof of loss, and other claim documentation.
10. Declining Insurance
If you decline travel insurance, you may be responsible for non-refundable trip costs, cancellation penalties, medical costs, evacuation costs, delay costs, baggage losses, and other travel-related losses.
